2022 Japanese Grand Prix

Due to the awarding of full points, Max Verstappen was able to secure his second championship title overall and his second consecutive one after building an unassailable 113-points-margin to teammate Sergio Pérez with four rounds to spare.

It was the eighteenth round of the 2022 Formula One World Championship and the first time the event had been held since 2019, with the 2020 and 2021 races cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
