The Lions, led by first-year head coach Valerie King, played their home games at Texas A&M–Commerce Field House in Commerce, Texas, as members of the Southland Conference (SLC).
Their season ended with a semifinal loss to Lamar in the SLC tournament.
As a result, the Lions were not eligible for NCAA postseason play until the 2026–27 season.
Receiving 58 overall votes, the Lions were picked to finish eighth in the conference.
