The 2023–24 UEFA Champions League group stage began on 19 September 2023 and ended on 13 December 2023.
A total of 32 teams competed in the group stage to decide the 16 places in the knockout phase of the 2023–24 UEFA Champions League.
This was the Belgian club's first appearance in the European Cup since their first round exit in the 1957–58 season, and the first ever for the German side.
