[2] Sixteen teams competed in the league – the top twelve teams from the previous season, as well as four teams promoted from the 2022 Série A2 (Athletico Paranaense, Bahia, Ceará and Real Ariquemes)[3] In the 15th round of Group A (12 June 2023), Real Ariquemes players refused to play their home match against Santos in protest over unpaid wages.
