It wouldn't be enough, however, as the Korean side added three more in the sixth to secure the win.

They then beat Jessie Hunkin in the quarterfinals and upended Beth Peterson in the semifinals to reach the final.

Team Nakamura qualified for the playoffs through the C side before upsetting Japanese rivals Satsuki Fujisawa in the quarters and knocking off Corryn Brown in the semis.

Tabitha Peterson and Michèle Jäggi also qualified for the playoffs but lost in the quarterfinals.
