The Beavers played their home games at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field as members of the Pac-12 Conference.

The team was led by Pat Casey Head Baseball Coach Mitch Canham in his fourth season at Oregon State.

The previous record of four steals in a single game was set by Steve Lyons in 1979 and matched by David Anderson in 1991.
