The tournament began on February 4, 2023, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City.
The tournament was originally scheduled to start on June 6, 2023, however, it was moved to June 27, 2023, due to the Philippines women's national volleyball team competing at the 2023 Asian Women's Volleyball Challenge Cup.

[22] The timeout regulations was changed starting from this conference in a bid to minimize match duration.
A technical timeout lasting from one to two minutes will come to effect when one team reaches 13 points.
