Judy Pearce Conservative Julian Brazil Liberal Democrats The 2023 South Hams District Council election took place on 4 May 2023 to elect all 31 members of South Hams District Council in Devon, England.

[6][7] The election saw the Liberal Democrats win a majority of the seats on the council for the first time in its history.

Liberal Democrat group leader Julian Brazil was appointed leader of the council at the subsequent annual council meeting on 25 May 2023.

Jo Sweett had been elected as a Green councillor in 2019, but left the party in 2021 to sit as an independent councillor.
