The 2023 Tour de Suisse was a road cycling stage race that took place between 11 and 18 June 2023 in Switzerland.
On 16 June 2023, Swiss rider Gino Mäder died in hospital in Chur after a heavy crash on the descent of the Albula Pass during stage 5.
Stage 6 was neutralised and a short homage to Mäder was completed instead.
The riders rode the last 20 kilometers of the stage, but without it counting towards any of the classifications.
