In addition to the Superliga, Oțelul will participate in this season's edition of Cupa României.

In preparation for the upcoming season, Oțelul completed a training camp at Vatra Dornei from June 9th to 20th.

The team also participated in a subsequent training camp in Austria, held between June 22nd and July 4th in Mönichkirchen.

Oțelul ended the previous season by finishing 8th in the Liga I and reaching the Cupa României final, which was lost against Corvinul Hunedoara.
