2024–25 Malaysia Super League

[1][2][3][4] This is the first time the league officially applies video assistant referee (VAR) technology.

Southeast Asian (SEA) players who have acquired at least 3 international caps for their senior national team can play in the Super League without any restrictions.

However, SEA players with less than 3 international caps must be approved by the Malaysian Football League (MFL).

MFL announced that teams can register up to ten imports, but the number of foreign players on the pitch is not more than six.

[27] Later, the MFL added a maximum registration quota of 12 foreign players, only to the clubs that involved in the AFC competition.
