The Gophers finished the 2023–24 season 19–15, 9–11 in Big Ten play, to finish in a three-way tie for ninth place.

9 seed in the Big Ten tournament, they lost in the second round to Michigan State.

They received an at-large bid to the National Invitation Tournament where they defeated Butler in the first round before losing to Indiana State.
