The competition began on 6 August 2024 with the preliminary round and is scheduled to end on 2 May 2025.
The winners are assured a place in the first qualifying round of the 2025–26 UEFA Europa League.
With reference to the competition regulations, the matches were played according to the following scheme:[4] The draw for this round was conducted in the headquarter of Telewizja Polska on 20 August 2024.
Participating in this round were the 10 winners from the previous round, 15 teams from 2023–24 Ekstraklasa and top 15 teams of 2023–24 I liga which were not qualified to 2024–25 UEFA club competitions together with the 16 winners of the regional cup competitions.
