Andy Pages hit two home runs for the Dodgers and Betts added one but the Mets teed off on Flaherty and Brent Honeywell Jr., who worked 4+2⁄3 innings out of the bullpen.
The Dodgers tied the game in the eighth on a sacrifice fly by Mookie Betts and then in the 10th, Jazz Chisholm Jr. singled, stole two bases, and scored on a force out by Anthony Volpe.
The Yankees got a run back in the ninth and loaded the bases against Blake Treinen before Alex Vesia retired pinch-hitter Jose Trevino on a fly out to preserve the Dodgers 4–2 win.
The Dodgers added two more runs as the bullpen continued to pitch a shutout, which was broken when Alex Verdugo hit a two-run homerun in the ninth.
