The match was the tenth final of the OFC Nations Cup, a quadrennial tournament contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of Oceania Football Confederation to decide the champions of Oceania.

The match was held at the VFF Freshwater Stadium in Port Vila, Vanuatu, on 30 June 2024 and was contested by the winners of the semi-finals.
