The 2025 Bijapur clash was an encounter between Communist Party of India (Maoist) and Indian security forces in the Indravati National Park located in Bijapur district in Chhattisgarh, India.
[4][5] The Indravati National Park has been a safe heaven for Maoists due to its large area of forests covering 2,799.08 square kilometres.
[6] The Security forces which include the District Reserve Guards and Special Task Forces were sent to the area about a tip-off about a large group of Maoists moving in the area.
[7] A fierce gunfight occurred from both sides and after the encounter, the bodies of 31 Maoists were found in the area, but police suggested there could be more killed, and a search operation was launched.
[8] The Security Forces recovered many weapons including AK-47s, INSAS, SLR's, grenade launchers, and explosive materials from the site.
