The 2025 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C will be a football competition held in Brazil, equivalent to the third division.
[1] Twenty teams will compete in the tournament, twelve returning from the 2024 season, four promoted from the 2024 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D (Anápolis, Itabaiana, Maringá and Retrô)[2] and four relegated from the 2024 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B (Brusque, Ituano, Guarani and Ponte Preta).
If tied on points, the following criteria would be used to determine the ranking: 1.
Draw in the headquarters of the Brazilian Football Confederation (Regulations Article 16).
[33] The top eight teams advanced to the second stage, while the bottom four were relegated to Série D.
