On 13 February 2025, a vehicle-ramming attack occurred at a demonstration organized by the trade union ver.di in Munich, Germany.
[2] At approximately 10:30 am local time, a driver in a white Mini Cooper approached a police vehicle monitoring a demonstration organized by the ver.di services trade union near Munich's central train station.
The driver, identified as a 24-year-old Afghan asylum seeker known to authorities for previous drug and theft-related offenses, was detained at the scene.
While officials indicated that the incident was not connected to the conference, it intensified discussions on security and migration policies, especially in light of upcoming federal elections in Germany.
It was the third attack by an asylum seeker in Germany within a three-month period, further fueling political debates on immigration and public safety.
