The season begins with friendlies for the USMNT and SheBelieves Cup for the USWNT in January and February, respectively.

[1][2] At the international level, qualifying MLS clubs competed in the 2025 CONCACAF Champions Cup, and qualifying NWSL clubs are competing in the inaugural 2025–26 CONCACAF W Champions Cup.

Two MLS clubs, Inter Miami CF and Seattle Sounders FC, will play in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup hosted by the United States.

Note: the table below has no impact on playoff qualification and is used solely for determining host of the MLS Cup, certain CCL spots, the Supporters' Shield trophy, seeding in the 2026 Canadian Championship, and 2025 MLS draft.
