2025 in the United States

The start of the year has been dominated by the January 2025 Southern California wildfires, which have devastated Greater Los Angeles.

Following his election victory in November, Donald Trump was inaugurated and began his second, non-consecutive term on January 20.

Elections will be held on November 4 of this year.

The off-year election includes gubernatorial and state legislative elections in a few states, as well as numerous mayoral races, and a variety of other local offices on the ballot.
