Commercially, the album has topped the charts in more than 20 countries, attaining gold and platinum certifications from many of them, while selling over six million copies worldwide as of June 2019.

In March 2015, Warner Bros. announced that Bradley Cooper was in talks to make his directorial debut with A Star Is Born, the fourth iteration of the 1937 film of the same name.
