Ustad Abdul Rashid Khan (19 August 1908 – 18 February 2016) was an Indian vocalist of Hindustani music.
He was a descendant of Tansen, a renowned singer who was one of the nine gems in the court of Akbar the Great during the sixteenth century.
He has been felicitated by critics, fellow artists and many reputed recognized institutions like Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Academy (1981), Banaras Hindu University (1993), Eastern Zone cultural center and Press Club Kolkata.
Abdul Rashid Khan composed over 2000 compositions over his lifetime and was also a prolific writer and poet under the pseudonym "Rasan Piya".
He trained numerous students in his lifetime and became regarded as a "guru" at the ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata.
