Abtar Rural District (Persian: دهستان ابتر)[3] is in the Central District of Iranshahr County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran.

[5] At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 11,635 in 2,346 households.

[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 10,624 in 2,936 households.

The most populous of its 49 villages was Abtar, with 3,089 people.
