International Academy of the History of Science

[1] The Academy was founded on 17 August 1928 at the Congress of Historical Science by Aldo Mieli, Abel Rey, George Sarton, Henry E. Sigerist, Charles Singer, Karl Sudhoff, and Lynn Thorndike.

The journal is published twice yearly and its chief editor, since 2018, is Michela Malpangotto.

[2] The content is published in six languages: English, French, Italian, German, Russian, and Spanish.

[3] The journal was revived in 1947 as Archives internationales d'histoire des sciences.

The Young Historian Prize is awarded for a scholar's first work in the history of science.
