Acme, Michigan

Acme (/ˈækmiː/ ACK-mee) is an unincorporated community in Grand Traverse County in the U.S. state of Michigan.

[4][5] Acme was established by L S. Hoxie from Saratoga County, New York, who, after arriving here in 1864, purchased land and platted the settlement.

[7] In 1892, an extension of the Chicago and West Michigan Railway from Traverse City to Petoskey was built through Acme.

It is located in southwestern Acme Township, in northeastern Grand Traverse County.

[11] Acme is part of the Traverse City Area Public Schools district.
