Adásztevel is a village in Veszprém county, Hungary.
Initially, the settlement was known singly by the latter part of its name, attested as Tuel in 1180.
The suffix is simply from the old personal name Tevel, which is possibly the combination of tesz ('do') and the diminutive suffix -l. A grandson of Árpád was called this.
[4] In 1840, 149 Jews lived in the village and there was a Jewish cemetery there.
