The highest point is Snake Mountain, which is 1281 ft above Lake Champlain.
As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 1,393 people, 494 households, and 402 families residing in the town.
There were 494 households, out of which 39.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.7% were married couples living together, 5.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.6% were non-families.
Of all households, 14.2% were made up of individuals, and 5.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
