The highest point is Snake Mountain, which is 1281 ft above Lake Champlain.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 1,393 people, 494 households, and 402 families residing in the town.

There were 494 households, out of which 39.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.7% were married couples living together, 5.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.6% were non-families.

Of all households, 14.2% were made up of individuals, and 5.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

[9] The town had its own elementary school, known as Addison Central School, serving students from kindergarten to sixth grade at the town center.

The West Addison Methodist Church is located at the West Addison village center.
