Adrian Constantin

Adrian Constantin (born 22 April 1970) is a Romanian-Austrian mathematician who does research in the field of nonlinear partial differential equations.

[1] He is a professor at the University of Vienna and has made groundbreaking contributions to the mathematics of wave propagation.

[1] Adrian Constantin was born in Timișoara, Romania, where he studied at the Nikolaus Lenau High School.

These flows and waves play an important role in the El Niño climate phenomenon and in natural disasters such as tsunamis.

[6] His approach takes into account the fact that the surface of the earth is curved[7] and the importance of the Coriolis force.
