Afnan Hamimi bin Taib Azamudden is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Alor Setar since November 2022.
Afnan Hanimi continued his Diploma in Islamic Studies (Usuluddin) from Kolej Ugama Sultan Zainal Abidin (KUSZA), now known as Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Terengganu.
He continued his Bachelor's degree in Usuluddin (Tafsir) at Al-Azhar University, Egypt, before continuing his Master's degree in Islamic Development Management at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM, Penang).
[3] In the 2022 general election, he won the seat for Alor Setar and become the first Malay that represent the constituency ever.
Afnan Hamimi is married to Najibatulhuda Abdul Raman and they are blessed with six children.
