Ahmed Galal (politician)

Ahmed Galal (born 1948) is an Egyptian economist and politician, who was appointed minister of finance in the interim government headed by Hazem Al Beblawi on 16 July 2013.

[2] He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Cairo University in 1973.

[3] Galal began his career at World Bank in 1984 where he worked for eighteen years.

He is the president of Forum Euroméditerranéen des Instituts de Sciences Économiques (FEMISE) in France and the founding co-chairman of the board of the MENA Health Policy Forum in Jordan.

He involved in the economic development initiative started by Prime Minister Hisham Qandil in December 2012.
