Aimee Mayo

Aimee Mayo (born September 28, 1971) is an American songwriter and author from Gadsden, Alabama.

[1] Mayo grew up in Gadsden, Alabama, and moved to Nashville at the age of 20, where she signed as a songwriter with BMG.

Her father, Danny Mayo, wrote numerous songs, including "Feed Jake" and "Keeper of the Stars."

She is primarily known for writing for artists such as Tim McGraw, Meghan Trainor, Backstreet Boys, Billy, and Kellie Pickler.

"Amazed" crossed over to the pop charts and spent two weeks at the top of the Hot 100, making it the first country song to accomplish such a feat since Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers with their 1983 song "Islands in the Stream.
