Akita 1st district

Akita 1st district is a single-member constituency of the House of Representatives, the lower house of the National Diet of Japan.

It is located in the Tōhoku region of the island of Honshu,[1] in Akita Prefecture.

The district contains the entirety of the city of Akita, making it the only district in Tōhoku to entirely contain a single municipality.

As of September 1, 2022, the district was home to 260,836 constituents.
