Aksakovo, Bulgaria

The new name is after the Russian publicist Ivan Aksakov who was actively involved in the process of the liberation of Bulgaria from the Ottoman Empire.

Aksakovo municipality was awarded by the Ministry of Culture for its projects in the framework of the European Programme Europe for Citizens.
