He played college football at North Carolina State University and attended Varina High School in Richmond, Virginia.
Cash was a member of the Richmond Revolution of the Indoor Football League (IFL) and the Montreal Alouettes, Toronto Argonauts, and Edmonton Eskimos of the CFL.
