Albert Gower-Rees

Albert Philip Gower-Rees (1880–1956) [1] was an Anglican priest[2] who held senior leadership positions in Canada during the mid 20th Century.

Born in Carmarthenshire, Gower-Rees was educated at Christ's College, Cambridge.

He was Vicar of St James, Bolton, Bradford from 1912 to 1915; then a Chaplain to the Forces from 1915 to 1919.

He was awarded the Military Cross in 1917 and wounded by a shell splinter the same year.

[4] After the war he returned to Bradford, staying until 1927, when he was appointed the Rector of St George, Montreal.
