Albertson is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of North Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States.
The Long Island Rail Road opened an Albertson train station in 1864.
[2] In 1908, the Long Island Motor Parkway was built on the southern border of Albertson.
[3] According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.7 square miles (1.8 km2), all land.
[4] Albertson is located south & west of Roslyn Heights, east of Searingtown, and north of Williston Park.
[5][12] Searingtown is located entirely within New York's 3rd Congressional district, which as of August 2024 is represented in the United States Congress by Thomas R. Suozzi (D–Glen Cove).
[5][13] Like the rest of New York, Albertson is represented in the United States Senate by Charles E. Schumer (D) and Kirsten Gillibrand (D).
[15] In the 2008 presidential election Democrat Barack Obama won 51% of the vote to Republican John McCain's 48%.
