Major-General Sir (Alexander) Douglas Campbell KBE CB DSO MC (20 June 1899 – 3 April 1980) was General Officer Commanding Aldershot District.
Educated at Cheltenham College, Queens' College, Cambridge,[1] and the Royal Military Academy Woolwich,[2] Campbell was commissioned into the Royal Engineers 1917 and served in World War I.
[3] He also served in World War II becoming Assistant Director for Bomb Disposal in 1940.
[3] After the War he was made Deputy Director of Tactical Investigation and then transferred to Middle East Land Forces in 1947.
[3] He was appointed General Officer Commanding Aldershot District in 1954 and retired in 1957.
