Alexander MacRobert (politician)

Alexander Munro MacRobert KC (1873 – 18 October 1930) was a Scottish lawyer and Unionist politician.

[5] He was an unsuccessful parliamentary candidate for Edinburgh Leith in 1922, and was elected for East Renfrewshire in October 1924 holding the seat until his death.

He was appointed Solicitor General for Scotland in December 1925,[6] and was promoted to serve as Lord Advocate briefly from May 1929[7] to June 1929.

He is buried in a line of law lords against the north wall of the 20th century extension to Dean Cemetery in Edinburgh, with his wife Emma Gentles.
