Alexandru Moșanu (19 July 1932 – 7 December 2017) was a Moldovan politician, historian and professor.

Alexandru Moșanu was born in Braniște, Kingdom of Romania (now in Rîșcani District, Moldova).

Moșanu was the author of over 100 works on the history of Moldova and Romania.

His most important contribution as an author is a study on Romanian historiography published in Moscow in 1988.

Between 2002 and 2005 Moșanu was the Honorary Chairman of the Social Liberal Party.
