On Tuesday, 9 May 2006 the Alfredo di Stéfano Stadium was opened at Real Madrid's training centre.

[3][4] On 6 September 2020, still behind closed doors, the ground hosted the Spanish national team for the first time; that game resulted in a 4–0 UEFA Nations League win for the Spanish side against Ukraine.
