Ali Hashemi (commander)

Ali Hashemi (Persian/Arabic: علی هاشمی), commonly known as General of Marshes or Shahid Ali Hashemi,[1][2] was an Iranian military commander in the IRGC and a prominent military figure during the Iran–Iraq War.

[3][4][5] During the war, he managed several brigades, divisions, Basij paramilitaries and IRGC units in Khuzestan and Lorestan and likewise was appointed as the commander of "Nosrat secret headquarters" in 1983 by Mohsen Rezaee.
