Ali Karaki (Arabic: علي كركي; 1962 – 27 September 2024) was a Lebanese militant who was a member of Hezbollah's Jihad Council.
Karaki was killed alongside the group's leader, Hassan Nasrallah, during a targeted assassination that took place while a leadership meeting was being held at their headquarters in Dahieh.
[3] Karaki had been involved in various terrorist activities, particularly in southern Lebanon, and had been linked to Hezbollah's strategic operations against Israel.
[5] After the assassination of Ibrahim Aqil, he was appointed to serve as one of his two successors in leading the campaign against Israel on the northern front of the Israel–Hamas war.
[6] On 23 September 2024, it was reported that Karaki was targeted in an airstrike by Israel while he was in an apartment in the Bir al-Abed area of the Dahieh district in Beirut.
