The play, directed by Josephine Wilson, opened on 6 March 1963 at Bernard Miles' Mermaid Theatre, London, before transferring to the Phoenix Theatre in the West End.

[5] The play, directed by Donald McWhinnie, opened at the Royale Theatre, New York, on 18 February 1965 and closed on 27 March 1965.

[6] All in Good Time (2011) shares much of the plot of The Family Way but it features a Hindu couple, and their planned honeymoon destination is Goa, not Majorca.
