As of the census[4] of 2000, there were 281 people, 108 households, and 85 families residing in the township.

The racial makeup of the township was 96.44% White, 1.07% Native American, and 2.49% from two or more races.

15.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

About 2.2% of families and 7.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including 13.8% of those under the age of 18 and 8.3% of those 65 or over.
