Alma Martínez (footballer)

Alma Socorro Martínez Torres (born 22 September 1981) is a former footballer who played as a forward.

[2] She competed for Mexico at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, where the team finished in eighth place.

She then joined UC Santa Barbara Gauchos for the 2002 and 2003 seasons,[5] scoring 8 goals and recording 6 assists in 41 appearances for the team.

[6][7] After her playing career concluded, Martínez served as an assistant coach for the Chico State Wildcats in 2005 and 2006.
