At the Japanese Grand Prix, Ocon qualified fourteenth and Gasly twelfth, and would finish the race in ninth and tenth respectively.

Gasly and Ocon qualified seventh and eighth at the Qatar Grand Prix, and eleventh and tenth for the sprint respectively.

Gasly, who initially finished tenth, was bemoaned with two track limits violations and a five-second penalty.
