Altamont is a census-designated place (CDP) in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, United States.

At the 2000 census there were 2,689 people, 305 households, and 203 families living in the CDP.

There were 329 housing units at an average density of 349.6 per square mile (135.0/km2).
