Alyssa Black

Alyssa Black is an American politician serving as a member of the Vermont House of Representatives for the Chittenden-24 district.

[1] Outside of politics, Black works as a healthcare administrator for a medical practice in Williston, Vermont.

She was elected to the Vermont House of Representatives in November 2020 and assumed office on January 6, 2021.

When joining the legislature Black advocated for legislation that would require waiting periods between firearm purchases and possession.

Act 45 created a safe storage provision in Vermont statute, expanded existing extreme risk protection orders, and mandated a 72 hour waiting period between purchase and possession of firearms.
