Américo Villarreal Anaya (born 23 May 1958) is a Mexican cardiologist and politician affiliated with the National Regeneration Movement and the current Governor of Tamaulipas.

[1][2] He is the son of Américo Villarreal Guerra [es], who served as Governor of Tamaulipas from 1987 to 1993.

He attended the Mexican School of Medicine at the Universidad La Salle México in Mexico City.

[4] In 2022, Villarreal succeeded Francisco Javier García Cabeza de Vaca as Governor of Tamaulipas.
