Red Sea International Airport

Red Sea International Airport (IATA: RSI, ICAO: OERS) (Arabic: مطار البحر الأحمر الدولي) is an international airport in Hanak, Tabuk in northwestern Saudi Arabia serving the tourism megaproject in development The Red Sea Project.

Designed by British architects Foster + Partners, the airport began operations on September 21, 2023, and is expected to service one million passengers in 2030.

[2][3] The airport is purposely situated 20 km from the coastal lagoons and islands that are also in development as part of The Red Sea Project.

The airport will be able to serve amphibious seaplanes with a dedicated water runway.

[5] On 21 September 2023, Saudia launched the first regular service between King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Red Sea International, operating twice weekly on Thursdays and Saturdays.
